City Asset Management

City Asset Management is an independent investment management company dedicated to the maintenance and preservation of the asset base and wealth of its clients. The company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) assuring that its conduct and practices are governed appropriately.

The company, founded in 1988, is mainly owned by the working directors and, as a result, is free from any bias or conflict of interest which might arise from ownership by an institutional parent.

While the company’s clients include corporations and authorised intermediaries, the majority are private clients where we focus on their financial planning and wealth management needs.

Our Investment Philosophy

Our investment approach is flexible. We research and develop views about the global macroeconomic market and relate that to the perspectives and needs of our clients. From this we then select appropriate investments.

What We Invest In

In line with our philosophy, we seek investments which will outperform cash in the long term. Included are traditional assets like Unit Trusts, OEICS, Investment Trusts, Direct Equities and Insurance Bonds. We also invest in other assets which are themselves focused on absolute performance. These include less well known conventional (long-only) equity funds, PIBs, Preference Shares, Hedge funds and AIM listed stocks. We believe that the profile of such assets justifies their place in our portfolios.
