Vivian Coghill – Managing Director

Vivian, a qualified accountant, had over 20 years experience in industry and commerce both in the UK and overseas, before founding City Asset Management in 1988. He worked at a senior level in a variety of companies ranging from household name multinationals to smaller single-country based firms. As well as being responsible for overall company management, Vivian’s technical expertise embraces most aspects of financial planning including investment management.

Hilary Coghill – Chief Investment Officer

Hilary initially qualified as a Physiologist/Pharmacologist and spent a number of years in medical research with leading pharmaceutical companies in the UK. For the last fifteen years she has worked in the investment management area with particular specialisation in collective investments, both unit and investment trust vehicles as well as offshore products.

Helen Angove – Director

Helen entered the securities industry in 1986 with stockbrokers Allied Provincial becoming an Associate Director in 1993. She joined Arbuthnot Fund Managers as Regional Manager in 2000 and assumed her present position at City Asset Management in 2003. Helen, who is a Fellow of The Securities and Investment Institute, is involved in the management of portfolios containing both direct equities and collectives, as well as developing and marketing portfolio structures for offshore bonds. Helen is responsible for new business development.

Mike Trillwood - Operations Director

Mike joined the company in 1994 to support the administration function and was promoted to Operations Director in 1999. Mike previously held a number of positions in the Financial Services Industry having worked in the IFA sector directly as well as for American Express and Guardian Royal Exchange. Mike leads a team covering all aspects of investment administration as well as being responsible for the IT function.
