The Standard Chartered Great City Race

18 JULY 2018

The Standard Chartered Great City Race is a unique 5 km corporate running challenge which takes place around the closed off streets of the City of London.  This team based event features City runners from many sectors and raises funds and awareness for "Seeing is Believing" which is committed to tackling avoidable blindness across the world.

The City Asset Management team was led by Denise Collins along with Oliver King and Sam Smith all of whom finished within 90 seconds of each other.

The team raised over £300 to help Seeing is Believing

Trek 26 involved trekking 26miles in an effort to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society to help them find treatments for, and look after those already affected by, dementia.

Our own Georgia Leighburn-Cook took part trekking a circular route from Waterloo Green via the embankment towards Temple, passing Somerset House before crossing both the Millenium and Blackfriars bridges and taking in the impressive St Paul's Cathedral.

Once her feet had recovered Georgia said “You have all helped me raise a total of £742 and donations are still coming in, so thank you so much for making Saturday worthwhile”

Well done Georgia
