Extra Support: Identifying Expert Charities to Help You
Since 2022, we have been working to identify additional resources to provide support for you and your family with life events and health issues. A dedicated team of staff representing all areas of the business has been considering the challenges that our clients face and searching for charities who can help.
Where we have found an appropriate charity, the team has completed extensive due diligence on the background of the organisation. This has included:
Checking the records of the Charity Commissioner
Completing a thorough review of online resources
Considering accessibility tools and the variety of formats in which online resources are presented
Checking that the website meets high standards of internet security
While we cannot control the information that these charities provide or the security of their websites, we are committed to updating our due diligence annually and continuing to challenge ourselves to find the best resources available to help you at stressful times in your life.
We have listed below the charities that met our due diligence criteria and summarised the specific issues that we think they offer help with. We are actively seeking to work more closely with these charities; in Autumn 2023, all members of the CAM team attended a detailed course provided by the Alzheimer’s Society on supporting clients with dementia. We have since implemented changes suggested during the course into our day-to-day working practices. We are also proud to continue our long association with MacMillan, fund raising for and donating to the organisation for over 12 years.
We look forward to identifying future opportunities for our staff to learn more from these experts and for us to provide financial support for their excellent work.
