Focus on Renewables

James Calder, Head of Research, talks about an investment that, in our view, will be a beneficiary of rising inflation and electricity prices - Renewables.  

We last wrote to clients shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine. Since then, our TV screens have been filled with the horrors of modern warfare; our thoughts continue to be with the people of Ukraine. In our last note, we explained that while we were having, and would continue to have, frequent discussions, our view was to sit tight. This was due largely to the diversified nature of your portfolio. It was also relevant that one of the few attractive asset classes was commodities and commodity prices were, and continue to be, very volatile.
