City Asset Management (‘CAM’) announces that James Calder is stepping down from his role as Chief Investment Officer after 16 years with the firm. James joined as Head of Research and has played a significant role in shaping the firm’s investment philosophy and processes over the course of his tenure.
Mark Rushton, Head of Investment Management, commented:
“James has been instrumental in developing and driving the investment processes and strategies that underpin our business today. We are all grateful for the professionalism, insight and dedication that he has brought to fund selection, macroeconomic analysis, the Investment Committee and the wider investment process over his time with the firm. James leaves with our sincere thanks as a valued colleague and friend to CAM. We wish him every success in his future endeavours.
As our investment process continues to evolve alongside the significant advances in technology in our industry, combined with our collective investment approach, this means we do not intend to replace the CIO role.”
