Financial Planning Newsletter, April 2023

Spring is typically the busiest season of the year for financial planners, as we face two of the biggest calendar events in our working year: the Spring Budget closely followed by tax year end. As we are now sitting right between those two events, we thought now was an opportune time to share our latest newsletter with you. Not only does it include a summary of Chancellor Hunt's announcements from Wednesday, but also a useful checklist of what you should be considering before the end of the tax year on the 5th April - just three weeks away.

This quarter, we also include an insight into the actual cost of retirement, a summary of the State Pension top up extension and increases for 2023/24, part two of our Lasting Power of Attorney series and finally, a look at the UK Government Debt and how that could affect you. Please feel free to share any relevant content with your friends and family if you think it will be of interest to them.

While there's no substitute for one-to-one advice, we hope the news and insights we've selected to share this quarter are useful and help you organise your finances.
